Yeah, it's not like it's that much of a hidden fact in the novel either (before the official reveal), for the readers I mean. I think the novel still did it better with us really gettting to hear Annabelle's thoughts and feelings on things, which also helps understanding the level of abuse she has gone through.

Lol remember when he told his father about the empress' plan and how he doesn't want to become the emperor? Do you remember what the emperor did?? He literally tried to guilt trip and manipulate MC to take his side. He literally showed him portraits of the dead royal family members and told him there might be more up there loool. My guess is the emperor is just gonna throw MC under the bus if did tell him.

He is shit. Where suppose to feel bad for the ML because of his childhood but he is TRASH! He gets married with out talking to her as to why, she runs away when he pays her like a whore. 5 years he never once thought of FL then suddenly he must find her once divorced.Then shes forced back and when she fakes her and her sons death to get away from him and finds a new guy, instead of going with him she ends up marrying the ML. Also they kept making the FL look like two other women and it meant nothing.
