I don't really get why there are random french words... If that was just little not important words like "oui" or "bonjour" I wouldn't mind but this mix between english and french is a bit weird...

I feel you ! I'm French and I don't like the mix either. The kingdom is name "cors" and the castle is Bastia its inspired by Corse a French island and Bastia is one of it's main city so that would explain but the French but I'm not fond of having mixed language in a manga no matter which one

Well tbh a lot of asians in general like to randomly say phrases in another language (like Koreans that like to say English phrases sometimes), that may apply to how they think in fiction as well
