Well, while I don't share the opinions of people who dislike Horus, I want you to know I DO find it a hundred times more understandable when people dislike Horus for Anubis's sake, rather than when they dislike Horus just because they want Seth to go back to his wife... Unlike Neftys, I find Anubis a completely sympathetic character, so while I don't share the opinion that Horus is a "bad guy", I do understand it a bit more when people react like that due to having developed a soft spot for Anubis. Anubis is a really lovable character (despite sometimes getting way, way annoying with his constant misunderstandings) so I do understand it when his fans get overprotective of him (boy's been through a lot, so even though his fans do get a bot extreme sometimes, with the overprotecting, it's easy to see why anyone would think he truly needs to be protected...)

It's only the argument that "Horus is just like Osiris" that I usually don't like to let pass, but mostly because I think it's a shame when people miss the author's intention behind portraying Horus like this. Therefore, I'm gonna copy paste what I said about this before, just in case you are interested in learning why people would think the opposite:

(START COPY-PASTE OF MY EARLIER POST)

1) Aside from the fact that he wouldn't have raped Seth if he hadn't been controlled by Sekhmet... (since it was all a game between Sekhmet and Seth, with Horus as the poor pawn being used in the game between the other two!) there is also the fact that Seth doesn't really seem to keep holding it against him (no matter how strongly we feel that he should!)... The only explanation I myself have for that is that Seth accepted that it was Sekhmet who did it, and readily so, because otherwise it'd mean Seth himself was overpowered and humiliated by a mere *human* (Horus is not a god yet!). Which reminds us, that Horus is still human-like, and not a god yet, and without Sekhmet and the mirror's horrid "help", he wouldn't have been even able to touch Seth... something that Seth himself was most probably aware of, when heopted to give up pursuing the matter with Horus.

...While it would have been "nice" to see Horus apologize, nonetheless, it's still pretty obvious that none of the people who know about that rape think that, if Sekhmet herself doesn't apologize to Seth, there isn't any use in Horus apologizing, not only because he was unwilling, but also because Sekhmet said things like this could happen *again* (she says to Horus, in chapter 34: "You think incidents like today will only ever happen to you?") In other words, that things like that could still keep happening as long as Seth keeps being unable to overcome the weakness caused by the seeds of self-doubt that Osiris planted in him. The problem is, Seth doesn't want to admit he has a weakness... and with Seth being too proud to admit he has such a fatal weakness, can you even *imagine* how he'd react if Horus went and apologized for raping him? To that same proud, arrogant and completely irrational version of Seth that he's been as of late? The one that is most afraid of anyone seeing him as weak? Yeah... I don't think it would end well... Because, until the end of season 1, Seth was very obviously nowhere near close to being someone capable of keeping a rational mind if an "enemy" came to apologize to him for taking advantage of a weakness in him that Seth obsessively wanted to dismiss as "nonexistent".

2) As for how Horus told Anubis only part of the truth, he told him what Anubis needed and *asked* to be told, which was how to solve his curses, and avoided telling him what Anubis needed to be told by *others* rather than by Horus himself (like, for example, by Seth, Osiris, or his own mother if possible... but it definitely wasn't *Horus'* place to tell him any of that! Horus had just found out about it *himself*, for effing sake...)

3) As for Horus choking Anubis that one time, you have to admit that Anubis was being too much, arriving at the worst and most completely wrong conclusions out every single thing Horus was trying to tell him (like, for example, when Horus told him how Seth was desperate trying to find him back in Kemis, and "punishing" those human boys for not being his beloved Anubis, Anubis misunderstood and thought his dad Seth killed the boys at Kemis because he wanted to kill Anubis himself... Talk about clueless!).

4) As for that one time when Horus kept Seth drunk back when he was little, he was just a clueless *human* kid, and he grew sick of his own behavior soon enough, realizing that manipulating Seth that way was not what he wanted... Even as a kid, and a human one at that, Horus quickly learned the one lesson his father never learned in all his centuries of existence.

5) Horus himself has done nothing to actually interfere with Seth and Neftys' marriage... He doesn't know if the Neftys in the mirror is the real one or not, and if she's telling the truth... and even if he tells Seth, he has no way to prove it because he doesn't know how to get inside the mirror another time, or if they will even manage to get out once they go back inside! Remember Horus is still human, he still depends on other gods' powers to assist him, yet he can't ask for their help with this because he doesn't know who's trustworthy, which of them is the one responsible for imprisoning Neftys, etc (how would he even avoid the risk of unwittingly going to ask for help from one of the very same people responsible, or from someone who'd secretly want that Neftys to stay inside the mirror?? He's heard the other gods say enough how they dislike Seth for destroying their temples! Why do you think Horus would have any reason to believe that those very same gods would help him do Seth a favor, if he asked them? )

I do think Horus would've needed to apologize even if he was an unwilling party, but given that it was obvious that Seth would have still taken that apology completely in the wrong way, that means Horus was probably wise in choosing to apologize with his *actions* rather than with his words. And those actions are important, considering they're attempts to help Seth after Sekhmet showed Horus that Seth is *constantly* in danger. Sekhmet had told Horus that things like the rape could easily happen *again* (she says to Horus, in chapter 34: "You think incidents like today will only ever happen to you?") In other words, that things like that could still keep happening as long as Seth keeps being unable to overcome the weakness caused by the seeds of self-doubt that Osiris planted in him.

The problem is, Seth doesn't want to admit he has a weakness... and with Seth being too proud to admit he has such a fatal weakness, and reacting badly every time anyone refers to it, can anyone even *imagine* how he'd react if Horus (his "enemy" of all people) went and apologized for having once taken advantage of him, for having been able to subdue him, to be more powerful than him, to a Seth who is obsessed with being seen as the most powerful, dismissing any weakness as "nonexistent"? ...So that's why, I think, Horus was wise in giving up on a *verbal* apology, and opting to show his repentance with his actions, rather than his words (at least, for as far as Horus wouldd be able to show it without getting Isis on his case...)

I was seeing it from an Anubis side of things and was being a little biased but now that you’ve explained it from a different perspective I can see why other’s people where telling me to read it again. You have swerved my opinion on horus quiet a bit and I don’t dislike him as much anymore. I can’t wait for that hiatus to be over to see where this story goes ヾ(☆▽☆)

Horus isn’t that bad if you analyzed his character more. He’s very quiet and mysterious. His obsession? I think he has that only because Seth was the only one who gave him genuine affection at a young age, I think he does or doesn’t know that Seth was drunk at that time and mistook him for Anubis.

And I’m sure Horus likes Seth genuinely. Not a super obsessed guy who follows Seth everywhere, he doesn’t hurt Seth and tries to be careful with him cause that’s the person who shared affection with him, Horus stays away from Seth’s boundaries and doesn’t force, etc unlike his father.

Definitely not father like son, there’s a mass difference. Osiris truly fits the super obsessed spinach freak, I truly wonder how he became so obsessed with Seth that he’s willing to abandon his family (Isis and Horus) for another.

About the obsession of that green guy to seth. Maybe bcoz they have a relationship in past life.. and that memory still remain on osiris. There is a chapter that Osiris asking the creator why is happening again to him that he takes was it important to him. I'm not surely. Chapter 43 I guess

Now I think end of S1 where Anubis is shown as a god (similar to Seth’s headwear), he is also gonna be controlled by Osiris :(. I heard about it somewhere, but I could be wrong. It’s most likely cause of his curse
