After reading chapter 45, I honestly find myself in a major conflict with the Empress. I found her behavior towards her daughter quite unbearable even before she returned, but now I find it unforgivable. In my opinion, she doesn't deserve Lyrica's love. No matter how much she regrets it, it doesn't change the fact that she did that all to her own child!! I can hardly imagine how much Lyrica must have suffered..
Whew, I thought I was the only one tbh but yeah I totally agree, after getting a peek of her pov i honestly don't know how to feel, like even here crying pissed me off

I'm disgusted by this "love story". There's nothing romantic about it for me. Just obsession and hypocrisy from the main characters... So many had to die just for one person to survive.

I hate it when the ML blackmails the FL in order to get his way. That happens far too often in harlequins.

I would tell him that people like him disgust me and that he should be ashamed!!
And readers keep saying that the woman is ALWAYS wrong not to tell the father about the child. I think that 90% of the Harlequin MLs I’ve read about give more than sufficient reason for doing that, and immediately blackmailing her with threatening to take her child away I would count as an excellent reason for never ever trusting this cad again. Also, like this dwerp, even though they’ve got this boo hoo background, they’re about as sensitive to a troubled pregnant woman’s emotions and worries as a polar bear is to a mother seal’s angst. It’s as though empathy is completely and utterly foreign to their natures.
I still think it is wrong not to tell the ML about the baby. It's not that the FL is aware that she perhaps is in a harlequin world where women have absolutely no rights xD but I agree with the rest.
That second-hand embarrassment from the first panel in chapter one... Seriously why is she acting like a four years old throwing a tantrum O.o
