its rlly sad from a young age eren knew he wasn't free at first he blamed the walls. So he wanted to escape outside the walls After seeing his mom get eaten he blamed the titans for having no freedom so promised to kill at the titans. In season 3 even there were pretty much no titans outside and inside the walls he still felt as if he wasn't free. The beach scene made him realize even if he killed all the enimes here there's still more out there its never ending Out of frustration (since he did all that shit just to feel free but he still felt trapped) he decided to take everyone's freedom (except for the ppl in the survey corps) just so he could be free. Idk how yall still fr hating him when we've been there since season 1. ( no hate i respect everyone's opinion and get why you wouldn't like eren)
