The thing about the mother is that I genuinely can't stand her... she is extremely childish and selfish imo, even now that she got back in time and tries to fix things with her daughter.. it seems to me she's only doing it to ease her guilt for her past life and not really for Lily herself, she just threw her in the castle with all the nice materialistic things and food and called it a day. when does she even see her daughter and interact with her? I get it that she's busy making a name for herself in high society but she seems to be kicking it more with the emperor bumping cheeks and whatnot. Lily interacts with her step brother and his crew more than her actual mother; this woman abused her daughter in every way possible, physically, mentally and financially, like imagine financially supporting your alcoholic mother as a child and when coming back home after a long day of child labor it's you getting hit and hearing "My biggest mistake is giving birth to you" , Lilica is so pitful even when she grew up a little, her mother sold her off to an old fart in his 70s so she can commit treason...how do you even begin to attone for your sins towards a daughter you treated worse than a dog?
