There are parts here that Jesse said yet in the virtual world of Moritat Law said them as though they were his memories, it makes me think that as they got older Law couldn't tell him self from Jesse. Like he had become so confused on who he really is from who he was and who Jesse is that the line in the middle blurred so badly.
Guess we'll have to see further if this is how it became or not in the real world once we get past the 'real' memories.
