1st of all the ml is not using her, he is genuine and actually like the mc, their relationship in the novel is really wholesome, there is a part near the end of the novel wherein he will almost die saving the mc. Also, in the earlier chapters where the ml seems to know the mc has a reason. The father although more protective towards the mc he equally loves his other children, he literally adopted the mc because his kids wanted a sister. And for those that are saying that she's weak and saying she should just kill ravien is just stupid, she cannot escape because ravien father is a duke and all of the people around her literally treated her like shit, and they are all on ravien's side, she could not do anything because she is an orphan. Also in the past 14 of her life she has been locked up so you can say that she still has the mental age of a child.
