contrary to popular belief, i actually REALLY like the extra chapters that were added. don't get me wrong, I loved the ending, but it just felt "off"(?) for me seeing how there was rarely any romance and everlasting happy and peaceful moments like it depicted in the ending. but with this ending, it just matched the overall feeling of what this manga gave off in the first place, isayama really does a good job with fear factor and suspense so this extra chapter made me want more, kinda like an open ending but not really, unlike the original ending where it felt like it was done and over. anddd im actually really glad that mikasa and jean got married, she deserved to be loved till the very end and jean is the perfect person for that job. it kinda reminded of another anime or manga couple that got together only because the Main Love Interest died, but i can't exactly figure out who they were. i think that kid that went to the tree that gave Ymir the power of the titan in the first place is mikasa's grand-daughter because (im not sure if its true) she made a will(?) to envoke the power of the titans once more to go back to time and save eren, since ymir was no longer interfering.
Even if Mikasa’s descendant did gain the power of the Titans, you had to be consider it be entirely a different worm with a different set of powers. Even then Isayama is basically telling us that there’s no happy ending not as long humanity forget it’s past and repeat the same mistakes over and over again. It’s just cycle and Mikasa’s descendant is probably starting a new one

i agree. one of the best thing about AOT is it doesn't focus much on the positive aspects and shows the gruesome reality of racism and the effects of warfare, so the original ending of 139 reallyyyy took me by surprise, and these extra chapters really just shows war is truly never over and peace isn't everlasting. i would like to see a spin-off or a new story that somehow connects to the AOT Lore but I won't hope on it too much since i know this is Isayama's first story and its lasted for how many years now so he'd want to take a rest.

it's not about it being a slow burn it's about the whole dynamic. even if it's only been a few chapters you can guess what kind of interactions they'd have from their personalities and the black haired dude doesn't seem all that interesting tbh. unless one of them has some massive character development that'd make them a completely different person i see zero chemistry, puppy ml would be better suited for this kind of fl.
id say otherwise with the puppy ml being a better suit for her, personality wise. seeing that she has already experienced pain and tragedy the worse way possible 7 times, youd think she would fall for those kinds of ml's once more (we saw how it turned out with silver-haired guy, rip 2nd life fl) but shes had it, shes ready to move on, take revenge and wont take any bullshit from anyone anymore. so someone who is headstrong, determined, and a bit mysterious is someone i think would be a good match for her. it would get her to at least take off the edge sometimes and cherish this life truthfully without her trash of a family. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
puppy ml would be someone simple-minded, loyal and genuine. that's like the total opposite of both black and silver haired guy, after going through so much i don't think she'd wanna deal with any more pretentious people, i also think a guy who can freely laugh and cry and wears his heart on his sleeve is better suited to an expressionless fl. this one just seems too mysterious and edgy to me but people like different relationship dynamics so i'm not judging lol

i didnt expect people to dislike the man couple like i personally find them cute and i think they're cute together, but it's just the way the Woojin and often Sangyoon can't refuse or say no in certain situations, which causes unnecessary drama and misunderstanding. One thing I can agree with though is how happy I was when Mr. Blondie got punched (i honestly think he deserves more than that :p)
