Because nobody expected this story to have an actual plot when this scene was released. Most readers simply saw it as another porn trope since this story used to be just a series of typical porn scenes and the magical boy storyline was nothing more than an excuse to make them happen. I personally expected to see 30-50 chapters of porn and then maybe 5-10 chapters of them getting together and that would be it.
But then the plot showed up and now things are looking different. However, many readers barely even remember that it happened because back then it simply didn't seem to be important.
