I’ve read this for the nth time and it’s only now that I noticed that grown up Kirino doesn’t have ‘dead’ eyes (when the dragonfly was reflected in his eyes) as they did when they were young so I’d like to believe that he is happy or at peace, in a way.

(Maybe) unpopular opinion: Baron was an unnecessary character. That Mono x Baron pairing came out of nowhere like their (very quick) past didn’t add anything that substantial to the plot...whereas since season 1 there’s been a lot of chapter hinting at a Mono x Lego pairing but it was all thrown out of the window.
Lol true, I was so pissed when monoXlego didn't actually end up happening especially when the reason is Baron who as you said came out of nowhere with a half-assed past with mono, plus the last chapters don't make sense at all with Mono's inner dialogues are all over the place.
