My mom outed me to my grandma over the phone KNOWING she was a hardcore catholic. And we both agreed to never tell her or else she will disown me(lol). Turns out she had the opposite reaction my mom gave me :O
She said "Its okay. In the end shes still my [name] and who she likes will never change that fact :)" and i cried for weeks
I find it both hilarious and sad almost everyone has realized she is not the real Elis. That either means she is bad at acting or everyone around her genuinely paid attention to the old elis.
I think it was the later. In actuality, there's a lot of people who cherished Eris. But her personality made her didn't realized it. She was burdened by her responsibility and was blind on people's love for her. But I think, rather that blaming Eris for it, I think this is the reality of this world. And the author made a good job at that
