Time has passed, enough for Shin to recover from his physical injuries. That's not all though. I reckon that's Opium, so he's dealing with either pain or PTDS, or both. The scenes around the Opium and the organisation of the event (the blue roses) are in the present. Anything else where his physical injuries are still visible are flashbacks or memories.
In any case, he's suffering like hell.
What's wrong with old-fashioned communication, I wonder? Always taking decision by yourself, it never works and you should know by now.

It's all in that word. You MUST. He's suffering so much. My gosh, the absolute pain I'm feeling. I really hope Wolfgang will tell him he loves him. Shin is stubborn enough to still go on with this idea of the Kingdom needing a Queen, but at least their feelings would be out.
