The art is beautiful and although the premise is overused (unwanted child forced to have an arranged marriage that becomes advantageous and attracts the envy of a two-faced little sister), this one has good storytelling so far.
We got some unblurred chapters. Now I can really enjoy the toxicity of this. I've now read chapters 1 through 5.
My first impression is that this uke is such a dummy, I'm already getting secondhand embarrassment. He puts Taerim in a pedestal and makes everything about him. We're not even halfway through and I already want to tell him to stand up.
And why the hell did he hit the table with his fist while remembering his friend having a seizure though? That was so weird... Why would the author do that if not to show that he has anger issues? It feels out of character with everything else we know about him.
The premise was so interesting but in the end it doesn't look like Baba senpai genuinely fell in love with him at all, it feels like it was just convenience or he felt like he had to repay Soba-kun for saving his sister. The author tried to make us believe he really fell in love but the writing is not giving that at all.
Frankly, I think this was doomed from the moment Soba-kun revealed he came from the future. It would have been better if things happened a little more naturally. I would rather have Baba senpai be rude for a little longer in order to see a genuine change in their relationship later.
It's only the first chapter and they already had gotten married, divorced and suddenly she's getting woken up by her son because she had sex with her ex-husband. What the hell? It makes you wonder when all that happened or if it's missing frames.
The art is not nearly beautiful enough to make me stick around to see if it gets better and the other comments don't make it sound better either.
Meow boyfriend was a catch. It's not the size that matters ladies! A man that knows how to experiment and have fun with sexuality like that could even let you peg him. AND he could be a grower AND he wasn't ugly either.
The age gap is creepy but the yuri drought is too strong to skip on this so I'll just have to fool myself into thinking they're age appropriate for each other.
This is drawn like a BL. The main character only looks like a woman because BL artists make bottoms look super twinky and feminine, but the female lead looks like a BL top with long hair.
I don't usually like western ambience stuff but this and Nerd Project are an exception because... DAMN, the art is good and they're hot!
The friend was justified in getting mad at him for disappearing. It was actually a discussion on social media one of those days, some people say they never let their friends leave with strangers, others were saying "let adults fuck". My take is:
- Don't just leave first without saying anything, your friend is going to be worried
- Don't pick up someone for sex unless you and your friend both agreed on that. A good friend would stop anyone trying to take you to their homes or to a hotel so you need to tell your friend beforehand so they don't feel responsible (at least not as much) if something happens to you.
- Don't drink (especially not to the point of getting blackout drunk) if you wanna pick people up. Drunk people can't consent, you're gonna end up getting raped or raping someone (SA and SH are possible too)
MC got drunk and assaulted the ML with an unconsensual kiss, then basically got raped. It's fucked up all around but hey, I'm still reading it.
Sorry to everyone pissed but I love some regret and chasing. The seme hasn't even realized his feelings yet and he's already getting desperate and acting embarrassing.
I peeped that rhe friends only defended the FL after the ML stepped in. The author obviously wanted to make that scene with the ML being her white knight, sure, but the friends could have tried to say something or at LEAST exchanged glances. With the way it was done they ended up looking fake as hell. And the guy asking her to put in a word for him doesn't make it better.
The comments warned me there was rape, but I gave this a try anyway. I hoped it wasn't so bad since for once the female lead didn't have boobs bigger than her waist each. Alas, the comments were right.
I'm starting this now and the cheating wife makes me sick and seeing the comments about the latest chapter makes me think it's not going to get much better.
She just keeps wallowing in self pity and using her son as an excuse for why she can't run away, but she obviously doesn't care about him because if she cared she wouldn't cheat in the first place knowing how that could affect him, let alone cheat under the same roof.
I mean, she's talking about how it's fine to fuck, because he won't leave the room since he's scared of his father. She knows her son is traumatized and she's not worried, she's using that to her advantage so she can get shagged.
Why doesn't she run away? The answer is obvious, she enjoys the rich and comfortable life. She still wants to get railed by a young man now and then but not enough to give up the money from her cuckold husband.
I have no sympathy for her, I hope she gets kicked to the curb by everyone with not one cent to her name. This cougar needs to learn some shame.
I'm at chapter 20 and it's too snail-paced for my liking? Does it get better? Should I persevere?
There's no revenge and no twist in this... The ending did not feel conclusive at all. They're not even dating, they're just in an exclusive sex friend relationship until the bottom gets tired. The way they got into this relationship was weird too because they had argued and the top was avoiding the bottom, but one phone call and they're fucking?
