I think Mr psycho-kun actually likes bum. I think it started off for fun, later on a mother replacement(like all the girls he picked or even the gay guy. All are either "slutty" or cheaters as he viewed his mother to be). Bum is the only one that sticked around and accepted him for him. And when was really the last time he killed someone? He stopped doing that, why?
What I mean by he's more human now is that as a sociopath you don't really feel any emotion. You're narcissist, you do anything to get your way, even kill.
