I'm only at volume 3. the story is not pretty at all but it is so beautifully written that I can't stop reading it!!

Why can't he? That "don't piss me off" seemed like a threat. Don't think he will kill Bum because that would almost guarantee the story coming to an end, but I don't see why he couldn't cause some serious harm if Bum did something he didn't like.
