yeah whats up with that is there a certain reason why manhwa authors are allergic to fluff and wholesomeness and slice of life like they all predictably went the same trope/genre every time smh

I hate that this is happening in mainstream and I also don’t know why but my theory is koreans already have tons of fluff materials that their mainstream manhwa authors just tends to go the dark path cuz that’s the edgy path. Like the rebellious age for the manhwa or something. I think korean manhwas are now in that teenager age phase

make sense or they think its cool to love edgy/depressing/toxic stuff or they think its what the audience wanted like we dont have enough of that in rl. the market is saturated enough. write stories without grape/kidnapping/mafia/drugs/debt/useless parents etc challenge.
sad to say sometimes even the gorgeous art couldnt save it (not this one in particular but in some cases).

Oh yeahh I mean I have no problem devouring grapes or angst in my early teens before but now that I’m older i think to myself I already seen everything but manhwa is still fairly new (compared to other bl platforms like ffs or manga) so of course the creators are still going thru that early rotten fujoshi/fudanshi phase. History tells me it will not get better edgy tropes will only grow and thrive no matter what and only saving grace are the few creators who will deviate from the dark and give us the good stuff

this whole story started from Jaeshin gambling. He lost so he was talked into removing a name from the death book and fucked with time, his dad the U/W King ?yeomra? made him a deal, you can come back if you get a humans heart (get a human fall in love and you) it was like mahjong game he was playing, it hinted that he played often I do believe.
For how lavish his family lives with jewels and gold I am sure, he could get money np. He's always had money to eat out or drink soju at the gisaeng houses.. it shows in the way he dresses

Here’s the thing, I don’t get why your reasoning is not as valid as my original question when it’s not explicitly told why he’s rich like I DO SEE HIS LAVISH CLOTHES WHY DO YOU ASSUME I DONT you just assume everything and I’m fucking stupid when you don’t get my point. Sure let’s say he gets rich off gambling but where does he hide his sack full of money out of nowhere?? He even turns into a puppy and grow/lose clothes. That’s wild. And to save you some thinking as well I know some chapter far down Jaeshin asked a random hostess to prepare him clothes so yeah we can cross out the clothes suddenly appearing when he turns from his puppy self. He could have been sneaking off the palace before to the whore house where he has stored stuff but the current chapter is set far away in the country side so are the readers also just supposed to assume Jaeshin knows some whore here was he popping everywhere all at once to maintain such relationships with humans? That’s not so clear, right? SO WHERE DID HE GET HIS FUCKING MONEY? Do you understand my question now?? Jaeshin have a PLOT ARMOUR that’s probably the best answer you can give me
