Ughhh I really like Donoue the best, he has a funny yet cute relationship with Ririko, he knows how to value her and how worthy she would be to any man, Im sure of it, and he definetly knows her better than Nii, who is really an asshole and a spoiled brat, but at the same time he did help her in the past and I would love if he eats his pride and realices how stupid he was and what he has been missing, besides if Ririko is in love with him I wish her efforts get recompensated (and I dont want the cocktail bitch to win over Ririko)

yes exactly!! with donoue she can be herself and they go back and forth and actually have this spark between them. With nii I don’t think it’ll ever work because she idolizes him way too much and their relationship is uneven and all weird.
I really want him to eat his words and realize how awesome ririko is but I feel like even if they start dating they just won’t work together. Like she’d constantly be repressing herself and even if she wasn’t she’d be too wary for his approval and not be her badass self. And he’d be all stiff, I really don’t think they’re compatible. Compared to that her relationship with the donoue is so fresh and real! Plus I don’t think her and nii share the same values (he’s with following the norm and getting ahead, etc while she’s against the norm and doesn’t focus on personal gain). If anything I hope him and cocktail bitch get together so they can be miserable assholes together.
I just really want her to live her best life and I feel like that’s one with donoue in her life instead of nii! Though I don’t want them to start dating like now, now bc ririko doesn’t look at donoue that way at alll and he doesn’t know about her whole past and everything. They’re just in the beginning stages and I hope that the author continues to develop that!

Kinda upset about the forced plot, what does she mean she doesnt want to “involve” the king?! He is your husband! Dont go to other men for help! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

it could be that:
-she suspects the king may also be behind it.
-she would have a hard time getting into the palace w/o anyone's help, and to avoid the risk of getting found out, she must seek for allies from outside first.
-there's a chance that the people from inside the palace are her enemies, so going to the king right away might be risky.
-she loves the king but she wants to assess the situation first before involving him.

Idk bro... what kind of marriage is that without trust? Like, if I remeber correctly, she did marry him out of love, it wasnt just forced. She could have left at least a letter, she just has her husband worrying over her!
Like imagine if it was reversed: we would all hate the king if he went to other girls for help instead of her, heck! I would be outraged if my husband went to other women for help instead of talking to me first!

chill, it's just a possibility. plus, even if she does trust him, there are also other scenarios i mentioned, like any other people other than the king aren't really trustworthy.
she doesn't even have enough time to write a letter or even send it to the king discreetly since she was busy running away from the guards and the priest.
and well, tbh, if it was reverse and the king sought for help other than his queen, i would understand, given his circumstances. i think you're just making a big deal because it was a man that the mc came to. it doesn't really matter, she was just seeking for allies. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

First, I consider myself in a chill state, thanks ;) Second I think I still wouldnt buy it, I mean he IS the king, what does it matter if others arent trust worthy, If done well Im sure he could overpower it...
I dont really remember that much so I wont argue with the letter stuff, but maybe she could find some way to get him the memo... much sooner than latter
Finally, I really dont get why you say you understand if it was the king with other girls but then say Im making a big deal cos she went with a guy (unless he was a real playboy while she isnt... but I dont remember)... the same rules apply to both, I think both of them would feel as bad

first, by trustworthy people, i mean that she would have to find the king within the palace, and during that, she could be seen by other palace residents-- guards, maids, etc-- and they might not be her allies. she could be taken away before she could reach the king (and well, there were already enough guards that were chasing her and they could've been anticipating for her to go to where the king is). thus it may be safer for her to find a surer way to reach the king, without risking being captured, by calling out for her allies from outside the palace.
and lastly, i meant to consider your hypothetical scenario if it was the reverse -- if the king sought help from other girls instead of his wife (though really it could just be a man too). i understood the mc's situation that she has to seek help from outside, and it just so happens that that person was a man. it's not like she was searching for a man specifically, but a trustworthy person in particular. really, it could just be a maiden and it wouldn't matter because she was just seeking for help for allies she could trust.
going back to the reverse situation, if the king would search for his allies, be it woman or man, i wouldn't care all that much, given the circumstances. it's nothing different from the original situation. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Wow! That girl is really an asshole... I totally get why Yonagi got angry. Asahi is talking like she know the truth and like they are something different from humans like wtf: they are normal people (with talent). And she is saying that they got it easy when we know none of them did! They got the most hardships of all the characters we know so far, actually, comparing to them Asahi is the one who is living an easy life (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Verga, bro... this is gonna be hard, to live without more Gintama, Im so thankfull to Sorachi for this amazing story, I loved it ╥﹏╥
Tho I gotta say, the only part I didnt like that much was Takasugi’s: just let him die in peace and rest a little in the after life before you bring him back! I could almost see him playing Erhu (or whatever instruments those were) with Bansai in the afterlife
