I'm mad, I'm effin pissed. Rix was in his most vulnerable state, had no control over his decisions or actions. Helping random strangers in the woods is ok, but defending your friend from being taken advantage of when you know so fuckin well how hard it is for him to engage in sexual activities between men is "interfering in mortal affairs"?????!!!! Tf you mean. Rix had consented to you and nobody else.
And if these goddamn voices had physical form, I'd beat the shit out of them.
I just hope Rix will be okay.

    Rodtv October 30, 2020 4:53 am

I totally upset and confused about not allow to interfere moral affairs as you at first. But I think it was Rix helped ppl all alone and not Nuah. If you reread the previous chapters, Nuah just simply tag along or run away together with others. He didn’t really involved.

    lostikins October 30, 2020 6:05 am

It's a pretty common concept for mythical creatures to not interfere with the affairs of humans/mortals so getting mad over it is pointless lol

They explain so many times that divine beasts aren't supposed to help/dabble in the affairs of mortals. The only reason why he agreed to help with the curse is 'cause Evin (can't remember the full name) broke a major law within the demons and divine beasts-- which meant that Nuah was free to help with relieving or assisting in lifting the curse. Anything else is forbidden and I'm just gonna venture a guess here could possibly get him killed or completely stripped of his powers.

He's not even getting off lightly for controlling the assassin and telling him to leave. The pain he was suffering before Banam showed up was more severe than when he was run through with a sword. He knew something like that was going to happen and Nuah still ultimately decided to stop the other guy and save Rix.

Stop sounding like a self-entitled brat and actin' like a fictional character is gonna write a personal apology for screwing up lol

    blatantescapist October 30, 2020 7:07 am

D: Why the hell are you mad at Nuah, he's trying ok? It's his first time feeling pain and shit, he DID help in the end, didn't he? I understand you're angry but don't be so quick to point fingers at him.

How are they acting self-entitled when they’re giving there opinions? People feel disgusted or upset that Nuah didn’t do something sooner then they are justified in that position. No one is trying to get an “personal apology” from a fictional character, their just simply voicing how they feel/reacted to the scene. Which they are allowed to do. Why are you so upset over someone else’s opinion on a fictional character anyways? Stop trying to police others opinions/feelings/reactions. This shouldn’t become a place where ppl are sacred to voice their thoughts on the story because ppl are gonna come attack them over it.

I agree. It’s not because he afraid if being hurt but he is very innocent and honest to keeping his promise

I reread chapter 35 and Nuah did try to stop the guy. I just wished he had been more insistent with his words and not necessarily used his powers. However, the situation would have probably escalated and turned worst. What happened is probably the best case scenario and I'm glad he did something to prevent the situation going further. I hope Rix and Nuah won't be too affected.

Maybe 'cause 98% of the time it's people just defending their "UwU cinnamon roll" character instead of taking in the whole scenario.

You clearly did not read my entire post seeing as the only thing you gleaned from it was my final retort 'cause, I don't know, maybe I was tired of people bitching about Nuah not doing anything sooner??? When we just learned that him doing something as simple as making someone walk away caused him enough physical pain that it was than being ran through with a sword.

Also, that isn't even the full extent of his punishment. What's going to happen to Rix if part of his punishment is losing his powers as a divine beast and Banam doesn't agree to lift the curse or they can't lift the curse right now? We already saw how bad it got when they went just a few days without suppressing it. They've been suppressing it for much longer now so just try to imagine how bad it's going to be if Nuah can't help 'cause he has no powers.

I know it's a shitty situation but it's going to get so much worse if Nuah can't do what he's been doing for Rix 'cause he lost his powers.

This is not an opinion this is an observation from reading the story and actually understanding it past the "oh it's yaoi" mindset.

P.S. Even OP realized that they didn't quite catch what was going on till they reread the chapter. Not every single person who has read this work has done the same as them. Maybe you should take a page outta their book lol

I understand the story. My issue is the way you addressed others by ridiculing them and their opinions. You didn’t have to say that last part to OP to make them feel small/insignificant. You could’ve left it the way it was before and no one would have an issue. It’s okay to disagree with others and voice that disagreement. But when you start to attack others because of a disagreement is when you begin to police people’s thoughts and create an unsafe environment for the community. If you have a different take, comment/respond respectfully. All I’m asking is for people to be kinder.

Another point I want to add, ( not directed towards you; a general point) is that while others may understand that Nuah had very little options on what to do, still might not be able to empathize with him. As for some people, that pain/punishment he was afraid of experiencing isn’t enough to stop them (the reader) from not jumping straight into action for someone they care about. Each individual has different lengths they would go for someone, different morals they abide by. So empathizing with a character who goes against those morals be difficult. So one is able to understand Nuah’s actions may still be angry with the way things went down. Which is fine.

Vice versa is also true as well. Others may find it easy to empathize with Nuah in that situation and are able to forgive him just as easy. Which is also completely fine. Neither take nor opinion is wrong. Everyone is justified in the way they feel.

I respect your opinion. And I understand why you’ve taken that stance. I’m just more mad at the fact that people are getting angry/attacking others for their opinions. It’s okay to voice your thoughts/disagreements as long as it’s done respectfully.
