I think skyler might be acting so harshly to yeonduk because when they were still kids he might've thought yeonduk was only hanging out with him because skyler's mom was "forcing" him to. especially since during their fight, skyler says "I should be the one who's pissed off. I put up with so much of your bullshit..." He might've felt betrayed by this and started distancing himself from yeonduk, since they seemed to be genuinely good friends/lovers(?) in the flashbacks...
With that said my baby Yeonduk does not deserve this pain and suffering, and in no way does this excuse how skyler has been treating him
He totally thinks he's been nannied and used by Yeonduk and his family. But he should know that at a young age, he wouldn't have had those thoughts. And since he's consistently been kind and gentle should have been a tip-off, too. It still does not justify bullying. If he didn't like his momma using Yeonduk, he should have said somehting to Yeonduk at minimum and his mom. It was the adults who made Yeonduk take that position, and that's not fair to Yeonduk to get cast as the bad guy.
I think Skyler has a little clue now that Yeonduk wasn't "tattling"--when he sees the message from his mom that says he has to come home after fencing. Yeonduk never told he didn't go to fencing--and Skyler has that look on his face. He's realizing that Yeonduk is pissed and fighting back, but also just like Yeonduk is reassessing the past, Skyler may be having to do that, too.
But I still want Skyler to suffer. He's old enough to know bullying is not justified, cruelty to Yeonduk is WRONG....
My happy ending would be Skyler loses Yeonduk to a nice guy, but I figure the author will turn Skyler into the nice guy. CAuse we see in the past that maybe Skyler was al ittle shit (blaming Yeonduk for his injury).
Even if he's gonna turn into a nice guy, i'm still gonna flip if they would end up with each other ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
