Atleast he goes through a redemption arc without even being aware of the shit he had done in the alternate timeline. Only that he traumatised her somehow.
JiBitch experienced and remembered the original timeline and in her view SHE IS THE VICTIM, because after Tia got executed she no longer had someone else to do her work for her. And this revealed what a shitty empress she was. Even Ruve got a rude awakening from that reality.
To cut a long story short the people who framed Tia and her father eventually came for her and the emperor.
JiBitch is bitter because her "fairytale" got cut short and she is salty why Tia got to go back 10 years and she only 5 years. Well, maybe because she suffered more you entitled cunt! the lack of empathy JiBitch displays in this story reveals her true nature. The "God" was an idiot to choose her as the destined bride or whatever.
Apparently, the duke was drugging Ruve during his reign and this why he acted as extreme as he did towards Tia (Duke also fuelled his paranoia against her) but lol you would have to be on drugs to not find JiBitch annoying.
Another redeeming factor of Ruve in this timeline is that he apparently will have no interest in JiBitch in this timeline (hooray!!!).

If correct, reviews has stated this is NOT a love story being the King and Queen. More a realistic tale on what a marriage set up for political reasons entails and the POV of Berta's journey as queen.
