So, number 1... I believe it is a yes. Ehm, looking at it psychological, I certainly have no clue how that happened. I can only think biased, she was pretty and a human who did her best to not be scared of him ╮(￣▽￣)╭ It was a brave move from her, but shr is the worst type of b*tch.
As for number 2, I do not remember the mentioning of the former woman, mother. I am pretty sure she was not a human since he does not have the pink eyes indicating the mixed blood. Good question by the way, I hope the author will spend some pages to that.

I have one more question. What "species" exactly are the Castiello family?

Chapter 3, page 5 (was rereading anyway): Asmodians. So, what does that mean? Asmodia is supposed to be the king of the demons. Asmodians are species with the blood of "Asmodia". Black hair and red eyes, the eyes are the 'core' and probably their power 'source'. If given a description... They are humans of a family who contracted Asmodia? Thats my current view.
Oh, and the mother of Carl is mentioned before, but died quickly after his birth.

Agreed! Buuuut without that we wouldn't have such an interesting, my opinion, female lead. Her character, phobia and more. Though the romance... sigh.

Hmm, as far as I know our Estelle is also an Asmodian, but a mixed blood. Seeing the trend of these manga's, I expect it will be ending with some mixed blood children (￣∇￣") But! This one will be continuing for a while, and not only Asmodians have black hair and red eyes, but knowing who or what I mean... You gotta read ;)

On the question about Karl’s mother! I’m pretty sure she was human as there was mention about the duke only marrying her because she got pregnant. I think it’s hard for anyone of asmodian decent to get someone pregnant so they just marry whoever gets pregnant first. But there is also the matter of “mixed” so I’m not sure! Maybe the author will elaborate on this topic later on!ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

Yes the whole "mixed blood" thing is confusing. What are the precise the parameters that determine this? If even Carl's mother was human?

I’m not sure to be honest, but there is mention that Castiello’s only have one heir, so it might be that after the initial heir if there happens to be a conceived child (as it’s been said it’s difficult for them to get women pregnant) then that child would be “mixed” due to them only having one heir

So, as we read it again: chapter 9 mentions they are NOT Asmodians, but have their blood. I am currently diving in a little deeper to understand it (￣∇￣") As for the mother of Carl/Carlos, it indeed has to be a human, referring to chapter 8 and 9.
