I got really frustrated with the ML after reading the raws. Its never really explained to an understandable POV why he actually likes his step-sister.
Apart from the fact, after coming from a domestic abuse home his new family were "nice". That's it. It's mind boggling.
Especially, considering how spoilt,selfish and childish she is. She has no redeemable traits and is very annoying.
Even the FL brother who they tried to set her up with, to help her get over her ex, finds her annoying.
She puts her selfish needs before anyone else and thinks only of her own feelings .
For example, when she tries to commit suicide (after FINALLY breaking up with the psycho boyfriend) she almost gets the FL killed in the process , when the FL tries to save her life.
And for some reason when given a choice between saving the FL or his stepsister the ML chooses his sister (there may be some reason behind this like a misunderstanding I dont know korean so can't confirm). This hurts the FL's heart very badly.
The friend doesn't feel guilty about the mess she caused and this is when the FL flips out at her.
This is the final straw for the FL she finally cuts off ties with the bratty friend because of something she said in the hospital pissed her off. And the FL then remembering what she saw (the ML choosing to save the friend instead of her) still hurt she ghosts him for awhile and I think this is what makes him realise how he has screwed up. I love it when she keeps ignoring him. And openly being cold towards him.
Because he 100% deserves it.
It is also what makes him understand how he fucked up.
But yeah after reading that chapter I felt really bad for the FL.
The emperor is such a tard he hated the FL and killed their daughter because he couldn't make the woman who was cheating on him queen.
He is an oxygen thief.
This prince (who ain't even that hot or interesting) basically stole 10 years of her life and didn't even do her the courtesy of asking for her consent or being straight forward with his feelings. He just imposed his will onto her life. Even after seeing how happy she is outside of the Palace he still drags her back against her will. Fuck him.

Her personality isnt very interesting and she seems quite shallow to the point she has zero qualms dating a guy who admits to stalking her and having a bizarre fetish cos..."he's hot".
All she does in these chapters is either blush or find ways to impress the ML by trying to look "cute" any way she can.
It's like her entire identity is built on her having a boyfriend and being in a relationship.
She has no personality, talent or interesting traits. Other than bad grades (probably due to her being so boy obsessed) and doesn't even have any interesting flaws.
Yet it's never explained properly why he likes her so much?
