While I love thinking about what happened before the collapse, I am so much more curious about the future - and by extension so worried too. The MC has become very important to ML, but because the town citizens will do anything to ensure the ML is not angered/bothered, this does not bode well for MC. This is how their dependence on the MC will start, with small things that they hope the MC may influence - but it may extend to other things. The town's people may even force the MC to stay in the village or may even lock him up, to ensure that ML does not become upset/do something reckless if MC is gone.

But interestingly, I think MC may not be able to convince ML. That'll begin MC's second spiral, maybe we'll learn about his past. But man, the consequences are going to be interesting to see.

I mean the story is perverted and I love that, BUT the grander story is super sad. You have a government that is essentially dehumanizing a group of people who have been affected by an unknown disease, and instead of trying to help them, the affected individuals are chained up and forced to endure physical, psychological, emotional, and sexual abuse. According to M, sexual assaults and suicide were not unheard of. And if there are experiments to see if the animal-men can be impregnated, that can only mean there are animal-men that are most likely being sexually assaulted for the sake of somehow impregnation them.

It's even more sad that those on the farm are so afraid of leaving that they are willing to hurt each other because of how bad the situation is. They are rejects, so if they are forced to leave the farm, they might just be killed as there would be no use for them by other farms. What they want is to live as normally as they can, and that has lead them to chain up M for his milk and antagonize K because of a lack of eggs. But it's not because they want to, but because they are scared of leaving the only place that is not actively abusing them.

Poor M and M2 could be separated too if the program is ended at A's farm. M is trying to help but failure could have him disposed and his child abused further. K might even be forced to have more eggs and see as they are taken away again. Sidenote, although it is not uncommon for chickens to not mind eggs being taken away (sometimes they do), K is originally fully human. Humans view their children with more emotional weight, so although K may feel weird about laying eggs, they technically are his offspring (although not fertilized, but maybe the MC may be able to change that ლ(´ڡ`ლ) ). The others are afraid of further abuse or death. It's sad, so I'm hoping by the power of the BL gods and the power of horny, things get better for those at the farm. G can rot in a hole though.
