This manga, the plot, the lore, it's about War and how it effects people. Not people in power but those without it. The average folks like you and I.
It's beautifully balanced with sci-fi, a bit of sweet romance, comedy and spy action. We learn more about the side characters and their story, about how that same war affected them too.
We learn that war leaves no one untouched. In a medium we know and love.
It's perfectly timed as we all currently experience it too. Directly or indirectly.

For real! Especially for the slice 9f life genre, it just isn't reasonable to want a fast pace like ban, dam, thank you and goodbye. The whole charm of this story is in its leisure vibe and everyday adventures. I actually really love the pace here.

I still don't completely get his villain role, his delusion, greed and inferiority complex are the key things he has going for him.
His features are so plain like background character no. 42, he hardly had any facial expression. He has that glazed creepy look in his eyes that's just unsettling because he looks so plain. (Handsome plain, yes he's not absolutely ugly I'll admit)
I don't get why he has this unrelenting drive to ruin the Winterwald and mainly Kill Luca like... he's a kid!!????
