Omg that knife! I saw it before(⊙…⊙ )
Gosh, that doesn't look good.
but i don't think he wanted to kill himself
look at the bottom of this page http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/royal_servant/uu/royal_servant-chapter-1/2/
may be it's just me being hopeful .. but i think he only cut the collar, so he's not a servant anymore .. that's what i think, cuz if he was going to kill himself Luca WILL stop him
he doesn't have to kill himself to cut the skin! come to think of it, they change servants A LOT! so i don't think it's hard to cut the contract which is the tattoo. may be the contract holder is the one who usually does without having to cut it, but it's a magical dagger .. so .. oh wait .. it's a magical dagger so a slash can be more of a stab? uhm scratch the last thing lol .. what do you think?
Maybe the cut wouldn't cause harm to people/things other than royal blood?
Like how this cup here can be attached back after being cut in half

I assume when the servants leave, the master takes the tattoo off by magic the way he put it on. The knife is special and magic, so maybe if he cut the tattoo just right it would work...but they said it was dangerous and it seems like more of a killing weapon. It seems wrong to use the knife to get rid of a magical tattoo to me. I'm also pretty sure to get rid of the tattoo all Kyon would have to do is tell the Lucaon he wants out. Lucaon's big threat when Kyon is hesitant is to send Kyon away. But who knows what will happen. :)
Take your hands off my baby ヽ(`Д´)ノ
