Am I the only one hoping that Ryuzaki finds his own homo? I mean he was clearly in love with Yashiro but he couldn't save him from himself like Doumeki can (and probably will). How do you think Ryuzaki will feel when he finds out that Doumeki could so easily obtain what slipped thru his fingers so many times?
He was in love with Doumeki, but he could also be bisexual :) I hope he continues to be with his girlfriend and treats her well
I don't know about treating her well, it might mean something different in the yakuza world. They probably have one official woman, who they buy all sorts of things and support them financially but sleep around with other women. Even Nanahara had woman but frequented the soap lands

Is it just me or the ugly one actually likes yuri s bit? I noticed in a few chapters he would blush after yuri touches or is nice to him in some way... or maybe it's just embarrassment ...
Either way, the theme itself is cliche ... school idol falls in love with unattractive classmate ... but I like the way it's being portrait-ed through the characters and the plot development (although ugly guy sometimes pisses me off with his behavior and the way he acted with yuri in the locker room after the run). Not to say that I wouldn't go all "kyaaa" when they do finally hook up.
Firstly - he is only embarrassed and confused because of yuris attitude, he will start to become more cautious of him from now on I think and he doesnt like him yet
Secondly - how is that a cliche ? wtf ? please give me at least 3 exemples of such cliche where uke is really ugly cause I cant recall even one (i dont count ones where uke is extremly shy and just unkempt because at the end of the day he is still fucking pretty af even if all other characters says diffretly)
And third thing - It's completly normal to react as he did. I mean come on, I's realistic and its a good thing right? The world is not a yaoi manga and guys are usually extremely carefull aroud that topic. Remember he is hetero at this point of story and I think that it is good that he was considerate enough to keep that info to himself. He just told him that he's not interested and he has a right to do so. So I think at least ^^

I disagree, the MC is ugly but he's smart enough to be in a good school. The other MC, Yuri, is popular yet he's not rich and is attending on a sclorship. he has to contantly make good grades. He's handsome; yet, his world isn't simply outstanding. He's faced countless hardships. Despite his popularity; he's in love with the ugly MC. Whomhas no feelings for Yuri; he, respects him but on Yuri's side, it's completely onesided. This love isn't coming as easy as many others in cliche stories.
I agree that this is not cliche. But I disagree about the one sided feelings. There have been a couple of times when Yuri has patted his head or been nice to him, that his heart went thump thump. But he is also used to Yuri being mean to him...so he's wary of him. Kinda like an animal that will run away if you try and pet it, but if you stay still it'll crawl into your lap and purr. He just hasn't realized what the thumping and the embarrassment when Yuri pats his head really means yet. I think it'll take him a bit longer to realize his feelings and come to terms with it

The MC does seem to have some feelings for Yuri, like 2nd Anonymous said, there were some suggestions by the author.
Regarding the cliche part, I still feel it, the first Anonymous actually gave a good example manga for that. In his example, the ugly uke is kind and compassionate and the beautiful seme also has a dark background where he was bullied because he was fat so he worked hard to become better. Also, I don't see the ugly uke in this manga as being particularly smart, just studied a lot...
And regarding his reaction, indeed it could have been worse, like telling everybody about Yuri being gay and so on. But what pissed me off was the fact that he said 'don't ever talk to me again' like Yuri was disgusting. He didn't even listen to Yuri when he was trying to tell him that he's not attracted to all guys, just him. So in other words he completely shut him off.
But wouldn't that be very realistic though, imagine if your homie just kissed you out of nowhere, would you be happy about that? He'd probably even catch a beat down. The MC didn't swoon and hear him out like a cliche manga would. He was like, "bitch, you gay foh" lol. That's what I love about this manhwa, It's not rushed
