Same era, but three years before the Great Kanto earthquake, is Sakura Gari. Brain and eye bleach required, but it's beautiful and so very sad and f****d up. Highly recommended. A young man from the country goes to Tokyo to attend high school and literally by accident he comes across the young master and they will change each other drastically. Not for those with rape or abuse issues. My favorite. Lots of historical facts and poetry throughout.
