no matter how mature you think you are, anyone can be victim to grooming. your brain doesnt even fully develop until your like 25. and going from 17 to 18 doesnt just suddenly change your mindset and how mature you are. it takes time to adapt from a child to functioning adult, it takes years. you personally may think that you would never be groomed and you could be right, but you are not majority. grooming also takes time, they slowly gain your trust by being your “friend” then at one point it turns into dependency and reliance and now you think its normal whatever they do. it’s manipulation. also what do you even talk about witha. 40 yr old man bro is geriatric send him to the old home
