Hear me out, I think there should have been a sex scene (at least implied). Normally I would say that it’s not necessary but we are seeing a guy say that he miiiiiight like his best friend that way but he is not entirely sure, we know that he was attracted to the girl in the mixer but not the best friend, sure they are the main couple and we know for sure they are in love because this is a romance and sure they do kiss a lot by the end, but we need to see for sure he is sure, I’m not saying they should show us his erect penis but at least a kiss and a falling on the bed…then skip or something

Its probably because original maythan was a side character in the novel that maythan read. So the story doesn't revolve around him, and I think the reason why he became a dick is due to people bullying him and in return thats his defensive mechanism by being mean/rude to other people since he doesn't have mana(?) like the other nobles who are able to use magic. But in reality (possibly), original maythan wasn't actually an asshole but probably misunderstood seeing this from carsen perspective ofc
