okay I'm still at ch126 but I have a theory. Eren said that all the others are special to him more than anything and that he wants them to live long lives right?? so what if he knew? he knew that they'd join forces with Marley to stop Eren from destroying the world which is why he played the bad guy? he's okay with playing the bad guy since he has no more than 4 years left to live. So if the others did succeed to stop him they'd be considered heroes or whatever by the world and be able to live peaceful and free lives which is what they've always yearned for even if he doesn't get to?
