I would suggest you to read from the start, as I really loved how actually last moments of them has described in novel. It isn't that detailed in manga tho.

i’ve actually been planning on getting into mdzs but would you suggest i read the book first or watch the live action first?

Hi, personally I watched the live action first and the manhua after it didn't really make a change but it was interesting in both how things were out toghether so I wasn't bothered by the repetitive information, I I started the novel not too long ago and you really get more insight on their thoughts and feelings obviously so imo anything works fine but maybe going first for the novel is a good idea

read the novel first in my opinion. the drama follows it pretty closely but not all the way, so by reading the novel first you know what actually happens -plus it has all the spicy scenes ;)
