But honestly this is a very well written story, absolutely engaging in every way.
As much as a jerk as Jin was, I can't very much hate him. I honestly have no real feelings about this character. But Kaoru is an uke I very much like. I mean, it takes him a while, but he CLEARLY stated what he wants, puts his foot down. The reason this pairing works is because Kaoru took the initiative, and made the effort, which now has Jin trying to make the same effort too towards the end.
Yay for assertive ukes.
I know, like if their relationship had continued with Jin still bitching around with other people while he had Kaoru, I would've threatened the author to make Kaoru smack the living shit out of Jin. BTW don't take this statement to far, it's a joke, teehee. ヾ(＠⌒ー⌒＠)ノ

I like this manga, mainly because it expresses how just an ounce of power can bring out the worst in a person. All the characters here are either sociopaths who manipulate the feelings of others, the victim of the sociopath, or both. There are no "good" or "bad" characters, and no one to really loathe or pity. It just shows the ugly side of human nature, with something as simple as a high school setting and a simple caste game.
