Yes, they are gangsters and work to beat people to death, but you can see that he's also smart and can think, especially now for the one he likes?! (Hope you understand what i mean!) The reason he raped Euihyun in the first episode was probably (and sadly) to show that he's a gangster...
I always have a feeling he showed interest in Euihyun pretty early though, I will have to reread it to see if that's right!

Just read the last chapter (ch 80) and OMG how I love them!!! My heart really went doki doki and I was kicking my feet and just blushed like crazy! Taeju is head over heal for Euihyun and you can clearly see that Euihyun likes him too. The tension between them after all shit is just chefs kiss!
