i have a kid too but the word "No" is well established in their minds.. they can get and do things they want as long as it is appropriate for them, BUT there is a time and place for everything .. i dont smack them, but they know when i am being firm with my No and Yes .. i don't cry like joon or like go "oh my heart aches if i don't bring them along" .. coz like i said i taught them early as soon as they learned how to walk, so they wont become nuisance to society even when they are young..

It depends on ur kids surrounding upbringing and ur teachings, being firm is the way for me and my surroundings. From where i live, if u spoil ur kids they’ll never learn how to respect and if smacking them will teach them respect, then why not? ╮(￣▽￣)╭
perhaps try talking to them before you hit them ??? idk if teaching ur kids that you're willing & able to control them using violence is a particularly good move
well for me if talking calmly won't do & still won't listen, that's the time i do spanking part, not to much that is. just to tell them who should listen to who, i also listen to they're reasons why they want that or why they did that, so that we could understand each other, me as a mother & them as my child.
