Wasn't expecting a second volume for this one, what a pleasent surprise
I really enjoyed this, slightly different take on the Vampire legend.
The characters are quite unique and the struggles feel real, it's got a hint of mystery, a dash of fluff and a very satisfying ending
It's either a bad adaption of a novel, or it was a good adaption and was then heavily edited to this weird nonsense plotline that has gaps wider than a ukes hole.
I wanted to like it so it's a shame, I might try the actual novel though
The novels are soo good actually, I finished all 4 books about Miro and Ian books, and 3 books of their boss, Sam and Jory books.
There is also a novel about their friend Eli Kohn and his partner Celso.
You should definitely try reading the novels!
I read the title as Punch Duck Love so now I feel like I have to read it
It's harem-esque in nature, the main character has no male friends and all the characters around him are female. They aren't necessarily bad characters but it's still kinda annoying.
yet already so much has taken place. I don't feel like it's been an information dump though and the motivations of the characters is still the same.
The characters are so solid and I love the interaction between the Higashi Villagers learning about modern civilisation.
It's quirky and fun.
Currently there are serious undertones but it's just a lot of fun, I think like what we aw with FMA those hard hitting emotional plot lines will come in later and without notice.
Also were we just casually told the twins parents are dead?!?
They've really made the characters so generic compared to the novel (I'm on chapt11)
Also I think all the ability ranks are wrong as well?
Pretty sure there are meant to be 3 S ranks and then everyone else is A rank, Hyeon's brother is then A rank healer not B
Chord is meant to be heraled as an exclusive and top rank guild/team.
If you haven't read the novel it's likely still going to be good but I just feel Yeseon isn't going to get the character development like he does in the novel. In the novel he is dead inside and never removes his hood, never ever. It's these little things that begin to change that show his development that you aren't going to get here.
