A ton of ppl study abroad. Ivan just wanted to help Hen get less suspected since he's one of those handful by sending him off to a trip. —that didnt work out. I say it was for the best. Hen wouldve gone crazy if Ivan were to have told him ppl r spreading rumors abt him.

He knows something up because Ivan didn't say WHY they needed time to take time away from each other.
Ivan wants Hen to be cueless so when people ask about it, he won't know whats going on. Either way, Ivan will talk to him about it eventually or somebody will. I just think Ivan didn't want to be that somebody. But I don't disagree with you. I think Ivan should've at least said I'm having a hard time or something.
