Okay idk if this will help (i'm really bad in explaining stuff). So the white haired dude 'preserved' his mom to keep her with him forever. And now that the black haired dude finds the mom's body, white haired dude asks if he loves him which can also be interpreted as "you'll have to keep your mouth shut about this if you say 'yes' or die if you say no" kinda.
