man i can't wait till they divorce and the empress can finally be with heinley
she's literally one of the most frustrating antagonists i have ever seen, and i hate what she's making the empress go through, but man i can't COMPLETELY HATE her
like she was a slave who went through hell, most likely abused even r*ped, and when she found a chance to get out of that hell (a.k.a the emperor) she took it, and even then she KNOWS its not a secure pass to a free life
she doesn't know how to read, she's naive, barely has knowledge about the world so she can't use her wits to get out of other people manipulating her, right now she's desperate to grasp at anything for the sake of survival even if it means acting like a dumb clingly bimbo for the emperor
and honestly, i get that. like yeah's she's frustrating and unlikable but honestly I UNDERSTAND why she does all she does too and that's why I can't COMPLETELY hate her
like the empress went through shit and we're all rooting for her, eve me, but right now you can she both Rashta and the Empress are just trying their best for their survival in their own way
I couldn't agree more with this. That's what make the characters alive, human-like.. they are desperate to survive in their own ways. That's what living is about isn't it?
But she isn't growing, using the opportunity to study, learn, fight. She's only attacking others literally

yh,,, but it's also shown very clearly why she isn't, its simply because she cant. the emperor just wants to have her around like a cute toy, even an etiquette class rashta had to request for, if the emperor cared about her he would help her knowing how difficult it would be to fit into aristocratic society
she IS studying, but honestly you can see how vicious and passive-aggressive high society can be, that unless you are very well experienced in their way of talking and or grew up around it, trying to manoeuvre in that kind of battle-field would be very difficult for those who grew up in a commoner background like rashta where things are more straight forward- and you can't just pick that up from a book
and its not like she can fight physically. she has no way of understanding the works of the imperial palace, even if she were to ask, how would she know WHAT to ask in the first place unless someone tells her, and who's she to know who to trust enough to ask
she has literally 0 power, and whatever power she does its superficial
so what she resorts to are methods which are mostly-underhanded or advice given from cunning people like the duke or the viscount
honestly so refreshing to see such a healthy relationship in the yaoi genre, the enemies to lovers was seamless with 0 toxicity, even the possessiveness is cute and not to the point of concern, the smex scenes are great, you can just feel the love its so nice
she's SO CUUTTEEE!!!! we are loving the gradual character growth (ノ≧∇≦)ノ
