Prostitution is a overused theme in Japan, there's a lot of manga that mention the theme of prostitution, the only difference is they don't show client interactions between the prostitute and the client(it might be disgusting a lot of the times). Most of the authors like to add elements of comedy in them for business reasons (probably some of them but not all). So please don't be too shocked by this. Most of the old readers are probably used to seeing this theme but if you're uncomfortable please don't read it.(￣∇￣")
