The guy stalking him did a '180' real quick when he saw Aki. I want Ayato to fall in love and be loved by someone who is not so quick to look at someone else. He barely waited before asking Aki out. Not the kind of person Ayato should date since he wants a real relationship. He deserves better. It's why Aki said "goes to show what his(the stalker's) 'love' means." Even Aki and Tomoharu knows the guy's playing.
So I don't think the Stalker is sad at all. Just another case of a guy with an ego who wants the prettiest person around.
