It's not that. It's the reveals that are happening which just shows how he has taken chenzi and his love for granted for all this time, and chenzi has been taking it on the chin too. It is good that he is finding out now. Him going along with his husband's injury is the bare minimum imho. But the reason itself he got in this mess was indirectly caused by YanZi too because he was hella upset that he had been stood up once again. I just...idk. YanZi loves him ofc, but Chenzi just loves him more. Even now after his injury, their reignited romance so to speak has all been a result of Chenzi's efforts and injury related actions, Isn't it? It's not about love language, it is what it is. In a relationship, there is one person who loves the other person more and here that person isn't Yanzi. That's all there is.

I loved the manga up till ch 50-something where the ML locked up the MC for no mf reason. Im pretty sure it gets toxic after that. The disappointment is rlly in how the story was set up well just for shit to hit the fan in one scene (imo)
