Why? He's not a bad guy. For the future king, it is obvious he would be looking for worthy people to recruit to his side. He is also a terrific business man as he is already making a deal to get his hands on the best wood. He is smart and is not evil. Why would you hate it.

Because he's going out of his way to ba a manipulative and disrespectful asshole like he proposed at the bride at her wedding which is beyond fucking rude not to mention he continously disregards both Priscilla and Kian authority and refuses to take no for an answer which is just annoying he's and asshole for the sake of being an asshole and is willing to ruin an entire country as well as that countries livelihood for no reason other than he felt like it

What? Ofcourse he tried to recruit them by proposing and all and yes he is persistent. But what do u mean trying to destroy countries? I think you are confusing him with the previous prince who was being a bitch to his sister. That guy is the main villain. This dude is persistent yes but he is just a quirky asshole. He is a good guy and wants to unite both the empires cuz the crown prince of this kingdom is a true asshole.

he may have what it takes to be a king, but you going around ignoring the fact the was rude to political and strong people is weird. he isn't a good guy, he is a to be emperor... those are never good guys! they need way more to be in such position.
and here, he low-key told than to bend or get crushed later on when he takes over everything. and before you say, it is an emperor, bla bla bla... what do you think will happen if a war fires up? he being kind and all? they will be at the mercy of his will if they aren't strong enough to go against him (but they are).
and tbf, he can be that. exactly that (war is war). but the thing he shouldn't do is come to people's house in the wedding day and be an fucking asshole and threatens them like he is the center of the universe, and still expect to be treated well because muh i am royal.
if he was all powerful and all, sure. nothing to be done. but he is expecting his position as a prince to force those two to not make a move on him.
because they could have killed him in the spot (if MC judged it to be the best option), to eliminate the threat in the future, since he is indeed very good at politics and powering up.
the fact he isn't an all out psychopath truly evil, doesn't change the fact they are in conflict.
the fact he is good at taking over as an emperor, doesn't change the fact he lacks smoothness when dealing with those high level people from "the countryside".
and in the end, if he can become an emperor, so can our couple ;)
