I mean she isn't trying very hard, but you have to remember she hasn't had the best father figure, and even if he's different, what kind of person would she be if she just married him without knowing only because he's the father of her child? Talking from experience, it's a 50/50 shot that either makes her stuck with someone who turned out to be a liar, or they live happily ever after.
