I like harlequins but this was a mess wow. At the start the girl was feeling insecure for no real reason other than his profession and him being actually busy. A plane crashed, the dude is visibly stressed and all she can think of is getting a Christmas present and doing wedding plans. Then the man pulled that whole stunt making a decision for her and creating misunderstandings instead of being honest with her that he ill. I cant with this couple.

Some people feel joy from being stay at home spouses and theres nothing wrong about that. This story really didn't depict that well though. It felt kinda like being a mom > than anything else. Yeah I mean, even putting aside archaic prejudices, that whole "A child needs a mother at home" ideal just isn't realistic anymore at least not in the USA where both parents need to work to be able to afford raising a child. This story feels like it was written in the 90s but it's only from a decade ago.
