This isn't revenge-torture. It's justice. She's giving back their own suffering to them. The Emperor and the ex-fiance prince were/are evil. If someone betrayed your family after you served them, then crippled your uncle, plotted to killi your grandfather, plotted to have you torture-raped to death, then plotted to wipe out your clan.....you just feel sorry for them?
Oh, and they killed the crown prince (now emperor's) maternal line and murdered his mom and were slowly killing him with poison.
Plus think of all those soldiers who served the emperor that the prince had poisoned so they'd explode and cause a plague of explosions among the innocent population.

I realize a lot of these webtoon are like that, especially if they are from that time period. I didn't say they didn't deserve it. But I just can't like her for it.
I guess I admire a female lead who can be as tough as a male lead against evil people who are out to destroy them. It's not like she bothers people who leave her alone. She only retaliates when they show they will not change, will not stop doing horrible things. The world would be safe if we had gals like her going around getting rid of the evil shits.

That's not what I said. I didn't like them for doing it, so I don't like her for doing it. SMH. There are other methods. Doing this doesn't make her stronger, makes her cruel. But that's just what I think.
Probably, I'm not saying it's not something others can't enjoy. I can't help myself from not liking it. I do like the aspects of her going, "Fuck with me I'll fuck with you." I am all for protect the family trope. Love it. So far there is no redeeming qualities for the antagonists because obviously not really showing any redeeming qualities lol. But I have this annoying thing that makes me feel bad for even them. I'd rather they die then be tortured like, skin rotting??? ajkfasfklaiha;ufh I can't.

I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed with where the story is headed and I'm only in chapter 12. At first I found it charming with her being able to go back and forth and eventually I found myself just skipping through the pages.
I get it's for the sake of moving forward in the plot but it's not that hard for Mielle to go "Oh, that dress is special, how about this or this." But I guess this comic isn't the only guilty one in doing something like that.
I get the reasons they gave, I just think they are crappy. It makes things clunky. The set up is getting old for me. Especially when the maids gossip right in front of them.
She had a reputation of being the good child - loving, frogiving, caring, giving, and she uses it to her advantage. MC was exploiting it basically, hence why she could not say "No" completely, she had to maintain the facade. Mielle is very calculating even for a child now and in their past life.
I was conflicted with whether or not I should read. Reading the comments I knew it wouldn't be a good story, rushed etc. But I was still curious about how it goes. But ultimately the thing that just made me go "NOpe" is a 16 year old and a 26 year old having sex. Gross.
