History is about to asswhoop this little bitch of a traitor. He is drawn like an annoying little shit, acts like one and betrays the hands that saved him over a little crush, and he will soon receive an asswhooping he clearly deserves! I just feel bad for Oichi (Nobu’s little sister). Her husband is very *HOT* in this manga but he’s about to go down too….too bad. Should’ve drawn him uglier so I can like him less.
I’m just waiting on Mitsuhide’s betrayal. He loves Nobu SO MUCH here it’s going to be a real shock when he decides to kill him ╥﹏╥
Not them glossing over the fact that this reincarnated emperor was sleeping with different women and KILLING them (strangling/stabbing/etc.) RIGHT before meeting the uke. I understand that it's meant to reflect his cruel traits from his past lives, but given the fact that he's supposed to drastically change from a sadistic/abusive lover/murderer to whatever he is now at the end of the story, the random killings in the beginning seems so unnecessarily sociopathic to me.
Historically, Ranmaru was loyal to Nobunaga to the end. Mitsuhide was the one that betrayed him and forced him to commit seppuku. Yoshiaki the bratty little shogun here raised an army against Nobunaga. Historically he most likely did it because he felt threatened by Nobu’s popularity among the people. Here he did it for that AND love for Ranmaru.
I hope this fictional story ends so that Ranmaru and Nobunaga “died” in the famous last battle fire. As in Mitsuhide spared them out of love for Nobu and let them run away. Not exactly the warrior ending for Nobu but I’m thinking maybe he got so wounded and weak that Ranmaru just took him and ran
So the kid was a sacrifice from feudal time to the forest god, look at his clothes in chapter 1. Then the clothes started to modernize, signaling decades changing. The Wolf god fell in love, but he wanted the boy to be free and have a normal life one day, so he raised him and protected until the time is “right”, but the time was never right. Look at the newspapers flashbacks in chapter 6, world war and such, wolf god wanted to keep the boy from harm so he could never let him go. The boy probably realized at some point that quite some time has passed but living with the wolf god is exactly what he wished for, he didn’t mind if the two of them were together for eternity. Last chapter was wolf man first and last effort to let the boy go, which he did, experiencing society and growing up and aging normally, but this time he chose to come back.
I think it’s beautiful. I understand the mixed opinions about grooming and what not, but I don’t view this story that way. Wolf god kept him a child and raised him innocently for 100+ years, it didn’t turn into desire until the boy started to reach maturity despite aging much more slowly. That’s when the wolf god let him go, hoping he’d make his own choices even if it’s not with him.
The late master (Seme’s father) backstory is bittersweet. He’s been keeping that summer home intact and maintained all those years to preserve the memories of falling in love that one summer even though he didn’t know that his love was returned, the weak lover couldn’t make it to their meeting spot to elope. Maybe that’s their fate since he died young, but that poor father held onto that love to his death with only the young servant boy (now his son’s old butler) as their sole witness.
╥﹏╥
I’m going to assume the best scenario happened and the butler eventually told the father. That’s why the summer house hasn’t been sold and has been well kept all those years despite being completely hidden away. Not even the new young master knew about the existence of the house. I wish there was an extra to tie it all together, that in the father’s will, he wished that his son would one day live with his lover under those roofs, the true happiness the father couldn’t have. And that the house would be revealed to the son once he found “the one”
Isis loved Seth like a proud sister. Then Osiris and Nepthys HAD to mess it up, destroying both families and divided this beautiful pair of siblings TT_TT
Seth loved his sister Isis too. In the flashback when he looked into Horus' blue eyes he said their color reminds him of the things he love, like the water of the Nile. We know where Horus gets his blue eyes from...
(/TДT)/ I wish for a happy ending for Seth, Horus, Isis, and Anubis.
You know the SA took place AFTER she built a temple with all of Seth's victories imprinted on the walls right? They were great siblings before, which is why she took it at such a great act of betrayal.
If you go back to read it Isis didn't know Seth was being raped, she came in right when he went for the desperate kiss trying to stop Osiris from hurting Anubis. Later, even all through the Horus vs. Seth trials and even when he was being sentenced, Isis felt guilty for sure because deep down she recognized what Osiris did, but she was too hurt by both of them to take back her words and actions then. Seth wasn't all innocent either afterwards, killing women and children indiscriminately to hunt down his sister and nephew. Basically they're all flawed characters, but it stemmed from the manipulative Osiris and of course dumb-ass Nephthys
I repeat : Isis STILL decided to hate her brother and support her husband, that literally what she did, did I lie ? And even tho, the temple was before and she’s feeling guilty, she made her choice! The fact that you tried to quote other people blames as Nephtys or Seth don’t change the fact that she prefered her rapist husband to her brother…
I pretty sure isis didn't preferred Osiris over Seth, but she definitely blames Seth for a lot of things. Also didn't she blame Seth before learning what really happened from nepthys just before she got sealed in that mirror? I guess her hatred for Seth became much more difficult to explain to herself after that.
I feel like we gotta keep in mind that these characters can be hypocritical a lot its what makes them complex y'know

I’m going to HOPE that the author takes plenty of creative freedom and goes with the route where Mitsuhide ultimately uses the huge fire that break out as an excuse to spare both Nobu and Ranmaru. Maybe he betrays Nobu at first, fights him, wounds him, but ultimately loves him too much to actually kills him. Mitsuhide has a change of heart last minute, tells them to leave and to never come back, using the excuse that their bodies perish in the fire. Manga Mitsuhide seems to love and respect Nobu greatly, I cannot fathom he can actually pull the trigger to kill him. Historically the great fire took down everything, the real Mitsuhide never did find Nobu and Ranmaru’s bodies. There’s HOPE for a happy manga ending ╥﹏╥
I really hope you're right, your version is so beautiful ╥﹏╥
THIS! Omg, this would be a great ending :')
