Akitora is big yakuza boss. His wife is Ane-san aka big sister, so the official wife. It does NOT mean she's the only one for Akitora, thats just how it is in yakuza world. Most times gang marriage is about politics and joining power, not love, the wife understands perfectly her situation. Do yourself a favor and don't worry too much about the cheating/rape trope in yakuza stories because it's bound to happen. They're outlaws after all! Go by their own rules
On another note it's crazy how you think the cheating is bad when we clearly saw gang-related deaths/murders in this story. Don't expect faithfulness and fluffiness when you're reading this type
i don't think it was an arranged marriage from their talk, Akitora seems to love her and I have known a Yakuza boss who solely loved his wife and family (friends with the wife), till this day he never had a mistress so exceptions are possible.
Yup...let alone there are others who even question our capacity and morality as an individual for dare to even find this story enjoyable...or even like/love this story or Rogi and not disturbed or condemn Rogi with all our soul and entire being like everyone else is some kind of unempathic human being or something along those jazz.
Frankly I don't care if he (Rogi) is "problematic" or "unhealthy" or if he's "good enough" for Reika or Hachi or whatever. I'm (and plenty of other people in Japan and other places, this title happen to be Scarlet Beriko-Sensei's popular and succesfull title so far despite its content) in this for a good story and interesting characters, and so far this manga is providing me with both. (Incidentally I also don't think that a good story is one in which I/We 100% approve of the characters' decisions and feelings and would support them in real life). TL;DR.....That's how you fully able to enjoy and like/love many different type/kind of fiction my friends and no wonder this series is quite successfull in Japan despite it didn't have a good and likeable/morally dignified main character according to some here.
I agree. Rogi's character was not written as an intended role model for anyone. I just find him dynamically fascinating as a protagonist. It's paradoxical but I find him so perfectly flawed that his actions are inexplicable but they show the layers he's got to his complex character. He's like the anti-hero, the untold story, I usually don't like purely slutty characters but I find Rogi to have so much depths to his behaviors that I'm quite attracted to his portrayal. I think Scarlet did an phenomenal job in creating such a conflicting MC, unlike typical Yaoi tropes. I just hope she doesn't rush his development because of those who cannot enjoy his fictional character because they make connections to their ideals of morality.
Precisely.....for me it all depend on the execution, I don't care if a story has a very good/kind or a bad guy/very flaw as a main character of that story as long as the story has good/great plot with great execution (according to me and my taste)...and I'm definetely on board. So far, Jealousy's story and characters (including plot progression, execution, artwork, etc) resonates very well with me and I totally agree regarding Scarlet phenomenal touch in creating/drawing/writing this story.
I also hope that she continues to keep this perfect pace/balance of the plot and development by not rushing the story. Thank God...that she already said that she want to make this into five whole volumes and are not going to rushing it to conclusion.
Is no one goin to comment about Sangwoo's ONE ARM PUSH UP with Seungbae on top of him??? Not only is he a manipulative evil genius, he's honestly HOT AS FUCK. Bum is a skinny little rut with mental baggage so I'm sure he will stick to Sangwoo through fire! Seungbae has nothing in Sangwoo in terms of concrete evidence, and especially if this was in the U.S, the case would have been thrown out because he broke into the house and arrested them WITHOUT a court warrant. Either way, Officer Lee, I appreciate your intuition but your reckless actions are exactly the reason why Sangwoo will go free!

This mangaka is progressively getting more lazy with making a decent plot and instead shifts all effort on sex fetishes? I mean there's nothing wrong with that since there are many styles of yaoi, but given her other works that have BOTH plot and sex, especially Royal Fiance, these days her stories have been lacking so much in plot.
