They were having a surface level relationship from the beginning, this shows Rou being thoughtless and that causing issues while Yoshino is uncomfortable but doesnt communicate. And in the end both learn from that, Rou starts to pay attention to how his actions can affect their relationship and Yoshino learns he can to communicate his feelings and be more possessive

There’s something very melancholic about this whole story. They fit together like a puzzle, two broken hearts who complete each other. I feel so bad for the senpai though, Mii-chan lost his sister but that man lost his love, in a horrific traumatizing kind of way no less. I hope he too finds happiness.
