The fourth story was... sly. Really sly. *sniff*
But the main story is really nice, though it's got it's darker patches - makes you want to hug the teddy. REAL HARD.

Amaterasu, goddess of the sun and the universe;
Due to her brother Susanoo "hurling a flayed pony at her loom, and killing one of her attendants in a fit of rage" she hid herself in a cave ("heavenly rock cave") and refused to leave - "thus effectively hiding the sun for a long period of time".
They tried to persuade her to leave the cage by making a ruckus outside including the goddess Ama no Uzume who was to perform a strange and obscene dance - the resulting laughter sparked Amaterasu's curiosity, thus she pushed the stone blocking the cave entrance away and joined them. "Susanoo was punished by being banished from heaven." Happy end. ^^

Besides that, Amaterasu also left the land of Japan to her grandson, who is the supposed ancestor of the royal lineage of Japan. Therefore, the emperor line of the Japanese people is the purest continuous heritage of blood on Earth. Great lengths have gone to preserving it, as the family is considered a relative of the gods, and a link between the lands and deities, echoing the essence of Japan itself.
The summary was intriguing, but the story is so much better than that ^^ (though I wouldn't know how to describe it better - just read it, it's... damn I'm at a loss for fitting adjectives.)
I really liked this heroine - until she dropped her brain, hijacked a jeep and stopped her escape to stroll between ruins *facepalm*
These epic showdowns between Koganei and Amasawa... and those Faxes. Imagine there would be such a show at 4 am with such ambiguous tension...
I guess all of us rotten fangirls would sit in front of the tv and tape it as if our life depended on it...

Amesawa: the only straightforward "defense" character you'd ever encounter who looks adorable in sheep cosplay and who spouts lines like: "I'm definitely claiming my dessert tonight, got it!?"
Really like it: story, pacing, the flow of the panels and how gently they're entwining with the words.
People = Coal was a very cute (though the outcome might be dull) try - and if I think about, our cities are designed like that, just less economical ^^
